Summary
The following steps should be taken when troubleshooting the Link 2500 as there could be an issue with connectivity if the WIFI is not updated correctly.
When changing these settings be sure to use the Red X key when ready – you should be prompted to save changes and reboot the device.

Tap 0-0-0-0 to enter the “Unified payment platform” screen – if this does not work the terminal may need to be moved outside of the network range to open.
On this screen we can check the network settings to ensure the below are correct.
Please note – on this screen the user will need to scroll down the list using the F3 button to reveal these settings:
Checking Communication Type
Step 1:
Enter the admin menu using the 0-0-0-1 button combination and select “communication type.”
Step 2:
Select WIFI as the communication type.
Checking Connection Type
Enter the admin menu using the steps listed above, from there we select Wi-Fi Parameters and will scroll down using the F3 key until we see “Connection Type” to ensure it is set to “Client” if already selected it should be highlighted by default.
Checking ServerIP Address
In the same “WIFI Parameters” screen scroll down using the F3 key to locate “Server IP address” – This should be set to device.tripos.vantiv.com.
Checking Ports
Right under “server IP address” there will be an option for “Port” we will check this to ensure it is set to 9001.
Saving Changes
When any changes are made to these settings we will need to ensure the settings are saved prior to leaving this menu. This can be done by tapping the Red cancel button until prompted to save and reboot – Ensure to highlight “Yes” and hit the green button
