Testing compatibility for UDynamo/iDynamo Terminals.
These are Magtek devices and troubleshooting is done by testing the device through the Magtek app on your phone.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE MAGTEK APP ON YOUR PHONE AND TEST THE DEVICE:
We can test if the terminal is being recognized by the device it is being paired with by installing the test application from the mobile application store (Available in both Android and Apple Application stores)
Once installed you will have the client open the application and connect their terminal to their device. Once connected they will tap on the “Connect” option located at the bottom of the screen
When the connect option is selected the application should pull information from the terminal. This means the device does recognize the terminal.
If nothing appears other than “Connecting…” then the device does not recognize the terminal.
From this screen go ahead and swipe a card to ensure the terminal is pulling the data from the card. (The information is encrypted so it should appear like the below example)
If all of this is true, this shows that the terminal is compatible with the device and the terminal can pull the cards information.
If nothing happens when a card is swiped, then that means the device is not able to pull the cards information and may need replacement
TDynamo terminal additional details
- Tdynamo terminals are not able to connect to a windows (Tablet or computer) device Via Bluetooth - these will work when connected to a Windows OS via the USB connection.
-When using the Bluetooth function with IOS/Android it is recommended to disable the sleep function as the device will disconnect when the device goes into the sleep mode and will need to be reconnected upon waking the device.
