Setting up an Ingenico iSC250 device
NOTE: If you have a firewall, ensure that Port 9001 is open to allow traffic on your firewall. Otherwise this device will NOT communicate correctly.
If activation code starts with a "C" it is for a Test device and you need a PROD device.
Check your shipping box for these three required parts:
PinPad
Power Cable
PinPad Cable (one cable with Ethernet on one end and PinPad connector on the other)
Setup steps:
NOTE: If you have a firewall, ensure that Port 9001 is open to allow traffic on your firewall. Otherwise this device will NOT communicate correctly.
1.) Connect the PinPad Cable to the back of the Ingenico iSC250
IMAGE
2.) Now, Connect the same PinPad Cable (Ethernet side this time) into one of the ports on your internet router. Then connect iSC250 Power Cable to a Power Outlet and into the PinPad cable (near Ethernet side) of the cable.
3.) The iSC250 will now turn on once it's connected to power, it should make a chirp sound and then you will see a series of screens, please wait until you see an activation code on the PinPad screen. You will take this activation code and activate the device in MerchantTrack.
Activating through MerchantTrack
1. Navigate and login to MerchantTrack: https://merchanttrack.fullsteampay.net
2. Click on "Terminals" and then click “Activate Terminal”
3. Enter the Activation Code as displayed on the terminal device, followed by a description to help identify your terminal, then use the drop-down to select your merchant, Finally click "Activate"
4. Wait as your device will begin downloading a few items for a couple of minutes to complete device configuration and eventually go to the TriPOS screen, at this point your device is ready to accept payments.
