Installation
The information below will guide you through the out-of-box installation process for the Verifone Mx915 and MX 925
Before you Start
Please ensure the following local network settings confirmed prior to setup – otherwise the terminal will not provide an activation code.
- Allow outbound https port 443 traffic to tripos.vantiv.com
- Allow TCP/IP traffic to port 9001 of device.tripos.vantiv.com
- Minimum Internet Speed requirement of 5Mbps (Upload and download speeds)
Potential out-of-box Issues
Items listed below highlight issues that could be present out-of-box. If one of these issues is present, please contact FullSteam support to verify and ensure a swap is placed right away.
- Physical damage in shipment

Incorrect or missing power supply
- Power supply should be 12V - The label on the power supply plug should indicate 12V.

- “Maintenance required” indication that the device has faulty/damaged hardware.
Note: Powering the device
- This device must always be connected to the provided power source after installation.
- The terminal will not power on until plugged in.
Setup

Connect the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the module closest to the power supply input (as illustrated above as B)
- Insert the module into the terminal and connect the power supply.
- Allow device to power on and boot up, As long as the terminal is connected to the network and not blocked by any firewall an activation code will populate on the screen.
You can now proceed to the ‘Successful Activation’ Section to verify the terminal assignment using MerchantTrack.
