Verify settings on the lane 5000 and 3000
Settings in this document are for the TriPOS configuration
In the event a terminal is not connecting to the network despite troubleshooting attempts, another good step would be to check the settings to ensure they are set appropriately.
***Please note - The photos in this article are of the Lane 5000 however the Menus and settings will be the same between the lane 3000 and Lane 50000***
To verify the terminal settings, we will need to use the 0-0-0-0 button combination to enter the “Unified Payment Platform” screen
This will bring us to the desired screen to review the necessary settings.
We will need to check the Communication type, Mode, Host Address and Port you may need to scroll down on this screen to review all information:
These settings should be set to the following:
Communication Type = Ethernet – Client
Mode = DHCP
Host IP Address = device.tripos.vantiv.com
Host Port = 9001
Adjusting settings on the Lane devices
To do this we will need to access the Admin Menu by using the button combination 0-0-0-1
On the next screen we will select “Communication Type” and select Ethernet – Client out of the available list of options that will appear.
If you need to adjust anymore settings use the yellow key – otherwise pressing the red key will prompt you to “Save and Reboot”
If the port, Mode or Host address need to be adjusted then we will need to select “Ethernet Parameters” from the main Admin Menu screen.
Under Ethernet Parameters you will be given a list of new options.
- IP Configuration – will allow you to set the terminal to DHCP or Static (Default is DHCP)
-Connection Type – Will allow you to set the terminal to Client or server (Default is Client)
-Server IP Address – Will allow you to set the Host IP Address (Default is device.tripos.vantiv.com)
-Port – will allow you to set the Host port (Default is 9001)
Once the settings have been adjusted accordingly, you will press the red button and Save and reboot
Changes MUST be saved for them to take effect.
Allow the terminal to reboot – if the terminal is receiving the minimum Network requirements this should allow the terminal to communicate with the Tripos cloud.
